Eastpointe Urban Street Tree Recommendations

In an effort to guide property owners to plant the right tree in the right location, the City of Eastpointe Community and Economic Development and Planning Departments created a list of recommended urban street tree species for varying right-of-way sizes.  Diversifying street trees creates  a healthier, more resilient citywide tree system. This outline features small, medium and large tree canopy heights and widths and pairs trees with recommended right-of-way widths.  These factors are important to take into account to ensure that the tree will interact well with the surrounding built environment and not produce future conflicts.
